Hiraoka Plum Blossom Festival

The Hiraoka Plum Festival takes place each year from late April to early May at Hiraoka Park in Sapporo’s Kiyota Ward. Home to one of the largest plum groves in the city, the park features around 1,200 trees, with a striking mix of red and white Bungo plum blossoms. As the flowers come into bloom, the park draws visitors from across the region, all coming to enjoy one of Sapporo’s most beautiful early spring displays.
