Sapporo Snow Festival

Taking place annually, the 77th annual Sapporo snow festival is taking place on February 4th-11th 2027 in Odori Park.
Sapporo is the snowiest metropolitan in the world, so where better to host a snow festival? Year on year this event gets bigger and better than the year before, with over 200 different snow sculptures on exhibition last year.
Not only is the event completely FREE to attend in Odori Park, but you’ll find interactive elements, plenty of food stalls, souvenir options and even live music and dancing to enjoy.
Come in the day, or wait until the nighttime illuminations where the snow sculptures really come to life.
The weather can be very cold during February and the ground inside the event can become incredibly slippery, so please wear warm clothes and sensible shoes so you can enjoy it safely.
