DESCRIPTION:Nearest subway station: Nakajima Park \n\n\n\nFinal dates for the 2026 Sapporo Autumn Illuminations are yet to be confirmed\, however the event normally takes place from late October to early November each year. \n\n\n\nAs the leaves turn fiery red and temperatures begin to drop across Hokkaido\, the Sapporo Autumn Illuminations bring beautiful light displays to Nakajima Park\, easily accessible via the Namboku Subway Line. \n\n\n\nThe illuminations are spread throughout the park and include highlights such as the Ginkgo Tree Lane\, Autumn Leaves Terrace\, Path of Light\, Hohei-kan\, and the Japanese Garden area. \n\n\n\nEntry to the Japanese Garden illumination area costs ¥500 and includes peaceful sound and light performances amongst the autumn foliage. Tickets can be purchased on the day with cash\, or online in advance through the official event website.

SUMMARY:Sapporo Snow Festival
DESCRIPTION:Taking place annually\, the 77th annual Sapporo snow festival is taking place on February 4th-11th 2027 in Odori Park.  \n\n\n\nSapporo is the snowiest metropolitan in the world\, so where better to host a snow festival? Year on year this event gets bigger and better than the year before\, with over 200 different snow sculptures on exhibition last year. \n\n\n\nNot only is the event completely FREE to attend in Odori Park\, but you’ll find interactive elements\, plenty of food stalls\, souvenir options and even live music and dancing to enjoy. \n\n\n\nCome in the day\, or wait until the nighttime illuminations where the snow sculptures really come to life.  \n\n\n\nThe weather can be very cold during February and the ground inside the event can become incredibly slippery\, so please wear warm clothes and sensible shoes so you can enjoy it safely.
